greenerApps enables you to thoroughly and accurately report your organization's GHG emissions inventory. greenerApps manages information about your organization's energy use and calculates how much of each of the major GHGs it emitted during a specific period.

GHG Protocol Support

greenerApps' highly flexible architecture is modeled on the GHG Protocol's Sources and Uses paradigm. Inventories are built simply by showing how much your organization used a specific source. You can create more powerful reporting by adding information about the specific assets your organization used.

greenerApps tracks emissions at their root source (property, vehicle, animal, etc.). This approach to data satisfies a key aim of the Greenhouse Gas Protocol: to ensure "that data are collected and recorded at a sufficiently disaggregated level, and capable of being consolidated in various forms, will provide companies with maximum flexibility to meet a range of reporting requirements."  greenerApps comes standard with support for all major GHGs including carbon dioxide (CO₂), methane (CH₄), nitrous oxide (N₂O), hydrofluorocarbons (HFC), perfluorocarbons (PFC), sulfur hexafluoride (SF₆), and other fluorinated gases including nitrogen trifluoride (NF₃) and hydrofluorinated ethers (HFE).

greenerApps converts your organization's energy use and GHG emissions into standard units of measurement: Megajoules for energy and "Equivalent Carbon Dioxide" (ECO2, sometimes referred to as CO2E) for emissions.
